KIM ALFRED SAGUIMPA 2021-105309 24/02/2024 CED-10-601A MICROBIOLOGY AND PARASITOLOGY Rapid Strep Test After following the steps in the test, the results show that the test is positive. There are red lines and blue lines in the first test but the final result in the first test showed blue color only which indicates that the test is positive. In the second test, the first line is blue, the second is red, but the final is blue, and the result is negative. Coagulase Test In this test, the colony that I used is the staph epidermis after rocking the slide, there is no clumping which means the staph epidermis is negative. In the last test I used the staph aureus colony which shows clumping after I rock the slide, therefore the staph aureus colony is positive. Catalase Test In the Catalase Test, the first colony I used is the Staphyloccocus aureus, after stirring the colony in the H2O2, bubbling occurred which is an indication that the colony is positive in the test. I used the Streptococcus pyogenes in the final test, it doesn’t show any bubbling which means that the colony is negative in the Catalase test. Oxidase Test In the Oxidase Test, there are three colonies that will be tested. The Bulkholderia mallei is Oxidase Positive, the Neissseria lactamica is also positive and the Proteus mirabilis is negative. Note: All of the conducted tests are disposed properly.
