Activity Name: Collaborative Storytelling
Description:
In this engaging learning activity, the SHN team will participate in collaborative
storytelling sessions to improve their communication skills. The objective is to enhance
active listening, verbal communication, creativity, and teamwork within the team.
Objectives:
1. Improve active listening skills by attentively following the narrative.
2. Enhance verbal communication abilities by contributing to the story.
3. Foster creativity by building upon ideas and improvising.
4. Strengthen teamwork and collaboration by working together to create a cohesive
story.
Rules:
1. Participants sit in a circle, and the facilitator begins the story with a simple
opening sentence.
2. Each participant adds a sentence or two to the story, building upon what the
previous person said.
3. The story continues to evolve as it goes around the circle, with each person
contributing to the narrative.
4. Participants should actively listen to the contributions of others and incorporate
them into their own additions.
5. There are no wrong contributions; creativity is encouraged, and participants
should feel free to take the story in unexpected directions.
6. The facilitator can introduce prompts or challenges to add excitement and variety
to the storytelling process.
7. The activity concludes when the story reaches a natural conclusion or time runs
out, and the team reflects on the experience together.
