Courage It was a cloudy day and I was looking out of the window. “Thak thak…Talha” my mom knocked at my hotel room door. It was our second day in Islamabad. We were going to a dam near Islamabad. “Talha are you up” asked my mom “ji mama” I replied and rushed to take a shower. It was a long 45 minutes drive or maybe it felt like because we were all exhausted. When we reached there it was sunny and burning hot. My father went up to a person who was selling all the activities. He mentioned multiple things but one that caught my attention was paragliding. I could see people doing it in the distance but I always found it enjoyable as I was not a big fan of heights. I still wanted to try it because of the surroundings. I was still terrified but I decided to do it. My turn was in 30 minutes so we went to do other things. After 30 minutes I went back there and a person brought up a page and a pen. The page was a contract that said if anything does wrong they will not be responsible which is when I realized that things were getting real. I got ready as they strapped a belt around me with two hocks the belt had and started to tell me what to do. As everything was lining up my heart started racing and I was terrified. As soon as I got in the air i left my heart drop to my stomach and it felt like time stopped as I lost my voice while screaming. I looked around and my way was delightful “nicha khencho” . I heard a man screaming from the ground to pull the hook down. I applied full force and landed safely. It was 3 minutes but it was worth every single penny. This did not only kill my fear of heights but also motivated me to take risks in life because a oops is better then what if.
