Ensure all materials are ready. 2. Greet students as I enter the classroom and create an atmosphere of respect and curiosity. Concept Exploration Peace Education Learning Session: Introduction (5 minutes): 1. Begin the class by discussing the concept of cultural awareness and its significance in promoting peace. State the objectives of the lesson. 2. Icebreaker Activity: "Cultural Quiz" (10 minutes): Provide students with a quiz that includes questions about different cultures, traditions, and practices. Instruct them to work individually or in pairs to answer the questions. Review the answers as a class and discuss the diversity of cultures. 3. Multimedia Exploration (8 minutes): Show a short multimedia presentation on the importance of cultural awareness and its role in reducing stereotypes and biases. 4. Discuss real-life examples of cultural awareness initiatives. Valuing (Reflection & Sharing) 15 mins Small Group Discussions (10 minutes): Assign specific cultural scenarios to each group. Instruct groups to discuss these scenarios, identify potential misunderstandings or conflicts, and propose solutions based on cultural awareness. Group Presentation (5 minutes per group) Wrap Up/Journal Writing 5 mins 1. Have students write a summary of the key points from the session. 2. Ask students to reflect on what they have learned and how they can apply it to their own lives. 3. Have students complete a journal entry about their thoughts and feelings about the session.
