Republic of the Philippines Department of Education NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION SCHOOLS DIVISION OFFICE OF SAN JUAN CITY SALAPAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL 11 S. VELOSO ST., BRGY. SALAPAN, SAN JUAN CITY Office of the Principal "Catch Up Friday: The Weekly Recap" In view of the DROP EVERYTHING AND READ DAY PROGRAM the same class program shall be observed. All teachers will serve as Reading Teachers to their respective classes who will provide his/ her learners with the opportunity to engage in reading their preferred reading materials. "Catch Up Friday" is a wonderful initiative aimed at providing additional support and resources to students who might be falling behind in their studies. This project is a big help where the pandemic has disrupted traditional education systems and many students have struggled. It's a great way to ensure that no student is left behind and everyone gets an equal opportunity to excel in their studies. I believe "Catch Up Friday" is a creative solution to address the learning gaps and challenges faced by students. It's a testament to the Department of Education's commitment to providing quality education for all. This initiative provides a dedicated time and space for students to receive personalized attention, address their doubts, and reinforce their understanding of the subjects taught during the week. Catch Up Friday has become a day where we pause, reflect, and absorb the week's happenings. It's a day where we tie up loose ends, revisit the challenges we've overcome, and celebrate the victories we've achieved. So as the sun sets every Friday, let's take a moment to catch up. Let's cherish the laughter, learn from the mistakes, and carry forward the lessons. After all, every Friday is a mini-milestone, a gentle reminder of our journey and progress. Catch Up Friday is not just about catching up with work, but also about catching up with ourselves. As we gear up for the weekend, let's take with us the spirit of Catch Up Friday, reminding ourselves that every step count, every moment matters, and every Friday is a celebration of the week that was. In addition to, "Catch Up Friday" also encourages peer learning, where students can learn from each other, share their knowledge, and collaborate on projects. This not only enhances their academic performance but also fosters teamwork and interpersonal skills. In full support to the Department Of Education’s initiative CATCH-UP FRIDAY, Division of San Juan is quick to respond in its implementation. WE DROP EVERYTHING AND READ and allow our learners to read. Here are a few common forms of assistance that we planned to offer in our school Salapan Integrated School with the help of our principal Mr. Cesar A. Camayra and my co-teachers are Read and Tell, Read-a-thon, Choral Reading, Paired Reading, Take turns Story, Think-Pair/ Group-Share, Content- based Reading and Use of Big books and LGU- procured books. Our goal of "Catch Up Friday" is to ensure that every student has the support they need to succeed academically, so we also use other online resources such as E-Learning Platforms, Educational Videos, Digital Libraries and Educational Games. These resources can be incredibly beneficial for students, not just during "Catch Up Friday", but throughout their learning journey. So HAPPY READING everyone. By: Maricris C.
