Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium is a sports
stadium located in New Delhi, India.
The Stadium was constructed by
the Government of India to host the
athletic events and ceremonies of
the 1982 Asian Games.
It is designed and constructed to meet the
international standards for stadiums set by
the Asian Football Confederation (AFC),
the International Federation of Association
Football (FIFA) and the International
Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
The stadium was renovated for
the 2010 Commonwealth Games,
was redesigned by the German
architectural companies Gerkan,
Marg and Partners and Schlaich
Bergermann & Partner.

Roof depth : 70 m
The elliptical steel structure was installed around the
stadium
to hold the two compression rings for the membrane roof.
The steel compression ring supports the tensile roof’s
cable net system.
The gap between the cable net system is filled with PTFE
sheer panels.
STRUCTURE DETAIL :
o The two outer supporting colonnade structure carrying both
the compression rings and complete ramp system for access
and evacuation.

Sree Kanteerava Stadium, is a multipurpose stadium in Bengaluru, India. It
is used mostly for football matches.
It is Bengaluru's main sports stadium
and several national level teams hold
their training sessions here. The
stadium was built on top of an old
lake.
The Sree Kanteerva athletic track
was developed into a pro synthetic
track for 1997 national games
before which it was a cinder track.

system. Such a roof consists of a compression ring around the
