Animals play an important role in our planet's eco-system. Unfortunately, every year
more and more animal species are facing extinction due to human activity. So, what can be
done to protect these endangered species?
One useful solution is to protect animal habitats. This way, animals won't lose their

the threat of hunters.
In conclusion, there are many solutions than can make a difference to the survival of

Read the following passage, then answer the questions:
John was invited to New York to visit some old friends who worked
there. He lived in an English small town which is an hour's journey away from the airport.

morning. He ordered a taxi for 7:30, set his alarm clock for 06:45 and went to sleep.
Unfortunately, he forgot to wind the clock and it stopped shortly after midnight. Also the
driver of the taxi had to work very late that night and over slept. John woke with that

alarm clock
stopped overnight and that it was pointing to half past twelve. So, he
lost hope and switched on the water boiler for a cup of tea. While he was having his late
breakfast, he heard the radio announcer reporting the news that there was a plane crash
near the airport. It was Boeing 707 on its way to New York while taking off that morning
flight N03234. It was then that John turned pale and screamed," My flight, if I had not
over slept, I would have been on that plane.
