1. What are the key elements in Franklin’s plan of union? How does he envision the
colonies working together?
He wanted the colonies to work together in order to create treaties and rules and taxes in order
to grow all the colonies together so they could free themselves from the things that the English
were doing to them.
2. What need was the plan of union designed to meet?
It was made to create power and some kind of order to the colonies.
3. Why do you think the plan failed to garner enough support to bring it into effect?
I think this failed because there were many englishmen that supported their home country and
had pride from their home country so they wouldn’t want where they live to be separated from
their home country. The other diverse people were too little of a minority in order to do anything
about it and create a large enough support inorder to be successful.
