Progress Report since last meeting:
Since the last meeting, the proponents focused on generating important parts of the paper
specifically Chapters 1 and 2. The proponents gathered and analyzed various research related to
the topic to further support the study. Meanwhile, in the process of analysis and construction, the
proponents were able to identify some gaps regarding the proposed design of the separator and
extractor machine. As a response, the proponents spent the week researching and brainstorming
for possible solutions. Each member of the group suggested individual solutions to the identified
problem. Afterward, the group finalized the design of the machine considering the proponents’
ideas. Furthermore, since the topic endorsement form was already signed by the department chair,
the proponents prepared and sent the thesis topic proposal form to the cluster for evaluation.

This week, the group has already received the approval of the research cluster for the thesis
topic proposal form. With this, the group conducted a short meeting to talk about the assignment
of tasks.
Scheduled Progress Plan for Next Meeting:
Since the group has their approved topic already and was evaluated by the research cluster,
the following tasks were expected to be accomplished on the next meeting:
1. Look for supplemental research regarding important concepts about the topic.
2. Verify and proofread research materials for the Chapter 2
