Unexpected love
In the shadow of the forgotten cemetery, two strangers stood face to face. Raindrops merged with tears
on their cheeks. "Why are you here?" he whispered. She smiled sadly. "To remember what once was."
They shared a silence filled with forgotten memories. "I used to visit my father here," he said slowly.
Her eyes filled with compassion. "My love was the foundation of this tomb," she replied. A moment
of understanding was born between them. In the quiet cemetery, they found a moment of community.
The rain continued to fall, and both went their separate ways.
The weeks passed, and the strangers met there at the cemetery again. This time she looked
different. Could it have been the rain that prevented him from seeing exactly what she looked like last
time? There was something special about her, he couldn't put a word to it except that he thought she
looked very beautiful. After a short chat, they parted again and went their separate ways.
Time passed, and their meetings at the cemetery became a tradition. Every Sunday morning
they stood there in the same place. Over the years, they created their own catalog of memories, from
sad rainy days to sunny afternoons filled with laughter. Once a place of solitude, the cemetery was
transformed into an oasis of community and reconciliation.
Then came the day when the older of the two strangers could no longer go to the cemetery
regularly. His steps were more tired, but his heart was filled with gratitude for the years of shared
moments. Although they were seen less often, everything was normal when they were seen. After all
these years, he has always wanted to ask her if they should meet outside the cemetery but has always
let it slide. He was afraid that it would hurt their relationship if she showed that he liked her more than
a friend.
One day, when he went to the grave site, he noticed that she did not appear as usual. A feeling
of uneasiness gripped him when he couldn't find her among the tombstones. After searching for a
while and looking around, he saw a tombstone that he hadn't seen before. There, inscribed on the
stone, was her name. The heart stopped, and the rain fell silently on the silent cemetery. It was right
there and then that he realized that he had lost his best friend. A few years later he also passed away,
and to this day he is buried next to her and their conversation continues in another world.
