Connecting the optical cables
! Notice:
Optical cables are fragile. Overbending the optical cables damages the cables and can detach or damage the connectors. Do not bend optical cables beyond the minimum radius of:
- 70 mm (2.7 in.), when cable diameter is 7 mm (0.3 in.)
- 50 mm (2.0 in.), when cable diameter is 5 mm (0.2 in.).
WARNING! Danger of eye damage caused by invisible laser beam.
Make sure that the laser beam is switched off during optical fiber installation.
! Notice:
Make sure that the optical cable connectors are clean.
NOTE:
Some optical cables are pre-bent, make sure to route them in the respective direction.
1. Insert the optical cable into the respective SFP/QSFP on the common or the capacity plug-in unit.

Manage cables
TIP:
All cables for one plug-in unit can be tied together with a cable tie, so each plug-in unit has an independent cable group. Necessary
cables and plug-in units can be easily replaced or removed using this method. Fix each plug-in unit cable group to the fixing plate
on the top right or left side of the AMOD subrack.
Cables routed outside the AMOD subrack can be tied together in groups. Cable groups can be tied to the plinth on the left or the right side of the AMOD
subrack.
! NOTICE:
Attaching cables to the front inlet is forbidden. Attaching cables to the
front inlet may block or reduce airflow.
NOTE:
Make sure that static bending radius of fiber cables is no more than 10D
(D - bending area outer diameter).
