Week 2 Lab Activities Materials Tools • • • • • • Screwdriver Saw Hot glue Hammer Drill Pliers/ Wire cutter You can provide your own wheels from home! Main Constraints 1. The device must be powered by a single mouse trap provided. 2. The device must have two axles. 3. The rear axle must “drive” the device. 4. The wood base provided in the kit must be used. The shape and size can be altered. 5. Other materials from home may be used for wheels. 6. The spring from the mouse trap cannot be altered or heat treated. 7. The spring cannot be wound more than its normal travel distance or 180 degrees. 8. If you break any of your materials, you will have to adjust your design. 4 Deliverables Tools By Week 10 Lab Working Mousetrap Car • • • • • • Screwdriver Saw Hot glue Hammer Drill Pliers/ Wire cutter Check online for tutorials and videos that show how to build a mousetrap car Materials
