Slim: Day In The Life Monday through Friday, my day starts at 6 AM. When I wake up, I grab a cup of coffee downstairs. While drinking my coffee, I review emails to see if I have any leads for potential clients or communications from clients, I am currently creating a website. I am recovering from an Achilles tear, so at 7 AM, I have physical therapy several times a week. If I were not in treatment, I would head to the gym for an hour at this time. My daughter and wife typically wake up when I get home between 8-830AM, so I’ll make breakfast. My wife goes to work at 9 AM, so between then and 11 AM, my daughter and I have one-on-one time. During this two-hour block, we follow this schedule: 1. Finish breakfast if she has not already 2. 30 minutes of reading 3. 45 minutes to an hour of playtime a. Toys b. Tablet c. TV d. Piano e. Playing outside 4. Brushing their teeth and getting her dressed Between 1115-1130AM, I bring my daughter to her grandparent's house before I head to work. If I have any errands to run after dropping her off, such as grabbing some food for the house, grabbing diapers, or fueling up, I will do this between 1130AM and 12 PM. When I get home, I typically have about 30 minutes before I clock in to work, so I’ll spend this time making lunch or scrolling through my phone or computer. I work from home, so there is no commute time here. I clock in to work at 1230PM and work until my meal block at 445PM. On my lunch block, I drive back to my in-laws' house to pick up my daughter, and I hand her off to my wife when I get home. I clock back in to work at 545PM and work until 930PM. When I punch out, if I have some client work, I will stay in front of the desk and work on that for a couple of hours. With the advent of school, I will typically spend an hour or two working on homework during this time. Between 11-1130PM, I shower and get ready for bed. I hang out with my wife and watch a TV show or talk for 30 minutes to an hour, and between 12-1230AM, I go to sleep.
