Kerry’s Updated Quickhack Module What is it? UQM is a hardware mod and software system that can be K implemented into your cyberdeck allowing the runner to deploy NET based attacks on the fly against opponents cyberware, tech infrastructure, and even computer based cars. his system has been developed by a infamous netrunner hailing T from Little Japan known as Kerry Knight, rarely seen outside of the net this project is his most recent and by far crowning firmware and hardware mod release - and you can find it loaded onto expansion packs at any local netrunner storefront. How does it work? UQM works by modifying the way code is run when the runner K deploys a net based command. With Kerry's system the program is offloaded onto the expansion modules onboard ram within your cyberdeck. In a matter of seconds the netrunner is able to queue defensive and offensive programs in real time against anything connected to the NET or anyone with a neural link. The KUQM system automatically ports the netrunners standardized programs (official CP:R or 2020 programs) however new programs will need to be written with an additional syntax adding a +3 dv to any program when being created for the first time if being created for the purpose of quick hacking. ll targets are considered “non ICE” when run through this A system. It should also be noted that this module is incapable of dealing with ICE, and for your own safety you should avoid trying to hack people or items with ICE protections. hen a program is run the amount of ram it uses is determined by W 2 factors, the amount dice rolled (meaning all have a base of 2 ram used) and distance. The further the target the more ram used at a rate of 1 ram per 10 metres (30 feet). All of Kerry's official modules come with a minimum of 6 ram, allowing the user to deploy 3 quickhacks in a single turn. However some higher end versions come with up to 18 ram slots, and at home hardware echnicians have found ways to expand it even further through t the use of cyberware. RAM regenerates slowly each turn depending on a variety of factors, such as the base ram refresh rate of your cyberdeck and software modifications. What are my options as a netrunner? his is a comprehensive list of all of the Official, Consumer T level quick hacking modules, remember these are a hardware modification for your cyberdeck and you can only have one installed at a time. note that individuals and netrunner stores may have their own * modified versions that may not be listed in this documentation. These are strictly official Kerry Updated Quickhack Modules.
