I walk out the door, veer of course
and go back into my room through the oblique window.
I had to remain incognito for the time being
The suspension didn’t bother me
It gave me time to start enterprising something else
Like my new video game
I was a wanton of a child
That didn’t bother me as I sat in my congested room
Looking around for other things to do
My mother comes back from the frugal hoosier
A store with a bountiful of durable items for low prices
She comes back with a scowl on her face
Waving a sheet of paper in my face
Covered with bright red F’s
Uh Oh, My report card I think
“I am tired of your antics” she yells
“I got suspended” I say avowed.
The color in her face becomes red, a deep boiling rage
From know on I’m going to invalidate your use of all electronic gadgets she says, and you will
be going to another school.
This is horrible, I think, I didn’t even get to play my new video game.
