1. Examine your values for both methods. (speeds and heights). Does one set of
measurements give a more consistent value of the coefficient or restitution?
Explain.
a. After examining values for both methods, it was evident that the
coefficient restation values were more consistent. This is because the
square root of the ratio produces for accurate and consistent values.
2. Are any of the values you obtained for the Coefficient of Restitution greater
than one? What does this mean? Is this reasonable to expect?
a. Yes, there are a few values obtained for the coefficient of restitution that
are above a value of 1. This means that the kinetic energy has increased
prior to collision.
