Managing Positive Mindfulness, Stress and Anxiety With cities full of hustling and bustling, stress and anxiety has become common among people. In simple terms, stress is defined as an event or succession of events that cause a response, often in the form of distress but also in some cases it’s a challenge that leads to a feeling of exhilaration. (Joshi, 2005) On the other hand, anxiety is a subjective state of fear, apprehension, or tension. (Hartmann, 2023) Talking about anxiety and stress, mindfulness also comes into the discussion. Mindfulness is a state of consciousness, one characterized `by attention to present experience with a stance of open curiosity. (Wells, 2016) Lot of people in today’s world suffer from stress and anxiety effecting individual’s regular life and overall health. To have a peaceful mind and life we need to manage positive mindfulness, stress, and anxiety. Having a negative mindfulness leads to bad mental health and it affects our overall health. Ignoring this can lead to not only health problems but it may affect our other external factors like relationships, emotions, personality, etc. (Healthwise Staff, 2021) We might not be able to perform at our best level when we are suffering from stress and anxiety. Recent examples can be taken from the incident of COVID-19. People had many mental problems which affected their life even after the pandemic. To tackle these problems everyone should follow and practice some sort of breathing technique. It is called 7S breathing technique. The technique is: Inhale for 7 seconds Hold your breath for 7 seconds Exhale for 7 seconds Hold for 7 seconds It is a quick method of reducing anxiety level for a short period of time.
