WHAT IS A BIOGRAPHY?
A Biography is a non-fiction account of a
person’s life written by another person.
PURPOSE OF WRITING A BIOGRAPHY
Why do we write a Biography?
 To share the life of a person with an the audience
 To highlight the person’s work and important events
in his/her life
 To show the person’s goals and achievements
in his/her life
CHARACTERISTICS OF A BIOGRAPHY
• It must have a detailed account of a person’s life.
• It must have a thorough research from various resources.
• It must have real photos, maps or other concrete evidences.
• It must have important quotes/dialogues said by the person.
• It must be written in chronological order in the third person.
• It written in both past and present tense.
