Want to take your LinkedIn game to the next level? Here are 5 awesome tips that I've
discovered over the course of my time experimenting on LinkedIn. Enjoy!
1. Publish An Article
Publishing an article is a really great way to create long-form blog content on LinkedIn.
The great part about articles is that you can embed video or images, link back to your
website or social media profiles, and you're not hampered by the shorter character
limit of LinkedIn posts! Those articles also show up with the headline image in your
"Articles & activity" section of your profile (see: What I learned from The Wizard of Oz)

2. Embed social media posts in your articles!
Want to share your Twitter or Facebook posts, or your YouTube videos in your
articles? You can do that with the embed function. Check it out:
Step 1: Create an article
Step 2: Click on the square box with a tiny plus symbol (underneath "Headline" in this
example.
Step 3: Select "Links" (fourth from the right)
Step 4: Copy the link to your Tweet or Instagram post (Use "Video" for YouTube)
Step 5: Boom! Twitter post embed.

3. Drop a voicemail into someone's inbox
Did you know you can send a voicemail directly to someone's LinkedIn inbox? This is a
great way to stand out in their messages, whether you are trying to connect with an
industry titan, or prospect for new business. You leave a LinkedIn voicemail through
the mobile app by:
Go to your messages section.
Select any 1st-degree connection you've been messaging with or create a new
message to any 1st-degree connection.
Tap the microphone button in the bottom right corner.
Hold down the large microphone icon to begin recording your message, then
release. Voicemail!
4. Use Boolean search on LinkedIn to find target profiles
Most people don't realize that they can use Boolean search terms like "AND", "OR",
and "NOT" to search with more of a targeted approach.
For instance, if you want to find people that only have the title VP of Marketing but
NOT demand generation, you could use the Boolean search term, "VP of Marketing"
NOT Demand Generation (NOT must be capitalized).

5. Send personalized connection requests even on mobile!
When you're connecting with people on mobile, at first glance it appears that you can
only send a connection by pressing "connect", which means it's off to their inbox
without a personalized note. There's an easy way to solve that. Click on the person's
profile, select the "More..." button next to "Follow" or "Connect" and then select
"Personalize invite". Simple!
This concludes the course. I look forward to seeing you around Linkedin!
