Ducks are birds. They are also called waterfowl.
There are many different types of ducks and they
can be found all over the world but not in Antarctica.
What Do Ducks Look Like?
Ducks have feathers. Their
outer feathers are waterproof.
This means that they do
not let water in. There are
soft, fluffy feathers under
the waterproof ones. These
feathers are called down and
keep the duck warm.

Ducks live near water. They
can be found living near places
such as ponds, lakes and rivers.
What Do Ducks Eat?
Ducks eat plants, seeds, insects
and small animals such as
worms, slugs and snails. Some
types of duck can dive under
