The graph shows the amount of fast food consumed per week by the British between 1970 and 1990. Overall, what stands out from the graph is that the weekly consumption of Fish and Chips experienced the most dramatic change during the research period. Additionally, while the qualities of Fish and Chips and hamburger eaten both rose significantly, there was a slight decrease in the figure for pizza. In 1970, pizza was the most popular fast food in the UK, with about 300 grams consumed each week. At the same time, the figure for hamburger and fish and chips was still very small, around 30 grams and 70 grams respectively. At the end of 1980, the amount of fish and chips consumed increased constantly and overtook the number of pizza in 1985 and reached its peak in 1990 at 500 grams a week. A similar chance, but in a lesser extent can be seen in hamburger which rose continuously and ended at 300 grams eaten one week in 1990. By contrast, the figure for pizza dropped minimally by 100 grams during a 2-decade period.
