Should our intuitions be counted as evidence?
P1: Intuitions do not always lead us to the legitimate conclusion.
A1) If intuitions led us to the accurate conclusion, then we wouldn’t need laws.
B1) Laws are necessary to keep order.
B1.1) We do not go on a red light, because we feel we should.
P2: Our intuitions often rely on our mental state.
A2) If our intuitions didn’t rely on our mental state, then we would understand the
reasoning behind them.
B2) We do not understand why our intuitions tell us what they do.
∴ Our intuitions should not be counted as evidence.
