Three types of muscles in human body 1. Skeletal muscles – muscles attached to the skeleton, under voluntary control/ contraction e.g. biceps, triceps in the upper arm, leg muscles 2. Smooth muscles – muscles present in the walls of internal organs (wall of intestines, uterus, bladder) and wall of blood vessels, involuntarily controlled/ contracted 3. Cardiac muscles – present in the wall of heart, involuntary and rhythmic contraction
