There is a pressing need for a modern digitalized system to manage medical inventory and transactions. The Medical Store Management System is developed to address this need and revolutionize the management of medical inventory and transactions in the pharmaceutical industry. Existing system doesn’t provide a summarised from of data which helps to get a brief view of the products sells and orders 1.4 Operating Environment – Hardware and Software Hardware: Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-10210U CPU@ 1.60GHz 2.11 GHz Hard Disk: 40GB RAM: 256MB Floppy Disk Drive: 1.44 Software: Front End: HTML , JavaScript Back End: JavaScript, Node JS, Express js Software: Node JS, NPM, Visual Studio(VS Studio) SQL Database OS: Windows 11 CHAPTER 2: PROPOSED SYSTEM 2.1 Proposed System The proposed system is the Medical Store Management System, designed to streamline the management of medical inventory and transactions, replacing manual record-keeping processes With this it provides the owner of the store with an inventory management system, Supplier details and what product they sell with contact and billing details • • • • • Its is user friendly Different dashboard according to the role assigned by owner Report section with summarised from of data Product billing and supplier billing list with proper details as paid or unpaid Every product will be having the location of it in store 2.2 Objectives of Proposed System The primary objectives of the Medical Store Management System are to optimize inventory, enhance supplier relationships, track transactions, improve operational efficiency, and ensure data security. • • • Easy to track the pending bills to be paid by owner Making it easy to get the location of the product Owner will get a summarised view of sell and profit generated 2.3 User Requirements: Users of the system, including employees and owners, have specific requirements and functionalities based on their roles, such as cart systems, product management, billing generation, and reporting. • Need list of products with the location of product in the store • Place where Owner can get a summary of the business • Managing seller details with order given • Product management with billing details • Suppliers’ management with contact details CHAPTER 3: ANALYSIS AND DESIGN 3.1 Use Case Diagram 3.2 Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) 3.3 Class Diagram 3.4 Data Flow Diagram CHAPTER 4: DRAWBACKS OR LIMITATIONS There are some Limitations like this system is not connected with suppliers the generated bills are still sent as a document. This is not a proper store structure management system so the location can be identified in a proper graphical format which can make employees work easy. Many of the limitations will be addressed in the future enhancements CHAPTER 5: FUTURE ENHANCEMENT There are some features need to be added to enhance the functionality of the store management system. Graphical Inventory management system will be added which will provide a graphic location of the product employees are trying to find, this will increase the productivity. A timesheet management system which will get the login and logoff details of the employee with the count of the bill generated by the employee in a day, this can be use by owner to provide a way to identify the efforts taken by an employee. The bills generated will have the time and data now need to create a dashboard to identify The time when most bills are been generated. Making this system more flexible to be used for other sectors in retail stores. CHAPTER 6: CONCLUSION These enhancements will extend the functionality of your Medical Store Management System and cater to a broader range of requirements. In conclusion, the Medical Store Management System presents a robust and efficient solution for the comprehensive management of medical outlets, including retail pharmacies, hospital pharmacies, and wholesale distributors. This system, as it stands, facilitates the onboarding and management of suppliers and medicines, streamlines data updating and modification, and provides detailed insights through daily purchase reports. It also ensures optimal stock maintenance to meet patient demand and regulatory requirements.
