This edition of the Festival completes the trilogy of themes set out two years ago – Between You and Me (2010), I Want to Remember (2011), Our Lost Poems (2012). Over 16 days, the city comes alive with art performances at key venues and at the Festival’s hub – the Festival Village @ Esplanade Park. One of the events happening is the Spooky Stories @ Kids Art Village and our school has been invited to tell spooky stories at this event to children and their families on the following dates: a. 18 May Friday and 19 May Saturday 9-10pm b. 25 May Friday and 26 May Saturday 9-10pm We will be selecting students based on your formative and summative storytelling performance to participate in this community event. Students who have done very well for their formative assessments will be nominated by your teacher and these students will then prepare to tell a ghost story for the summative assessment. All other conditions for summative assessment will apply except that the genre of the story is fixed as ghost stories. More information will be given after the formative assessment. Students who are very keen but were not nominated can still approach your teacher to nominate yourselves for this event after the formative assessment. 2 RI ENG DEPT / 2012
