Idiocracy (2006): Reflection Paper on the State of Humanity Today
Idiocracy is a dystopian science fiction film released on the year 2006 is a movie
portraying an unusual and satire take on what will the future hold. The film being a
comedy, some may expect that the film will be focusing on funny and hilarious scenes,
well yes it was true to its genre where scenes are seen to be funny. But breaking the
glasses in the film, it portrayed the common trending issues nowadays, such as politics,
economy, and societal hierarchy. Stating the fact that the film was released in 2006, it is
disturbing to think that the film is set to be a prophecy to the future, but maybe it is just a
coincidence.
