Name: KYNEL L. DEQUILLO Course & Year: BSBA-FM 1 NSTP Overall Reflection The National Service Training Program for Tertiary Students strives to increase youth involvement in public and civic affairs by fostering civic consciousness among them, instilling a sense of nationalism in them. This is based on Republic Act 9163, which aims to foster youth development in all areas of their lives—physical, moral, spiritual, intellectual, and social— as well as defense readiness and service ethics—while they are enrolled in one of the three program components. Its numerous elements are purposefully made to encourage young people to actively contribute to the well-being of society. I'm sure to have a lot of firsts as a freshman. These experiences come with a variety of worthwhile learning opportunities. Meeting new people with various cultural, spiritual, educational, and social characteristics is one of these activities. I increased my confidence in making new friends. Through our many shared activities, I was able to gain new insight into their characters and life stories. The enjoyable yet informative exercises that improve our abilities in community building are another turning point in this subject for me. I now understand the value of making personal sacrifices and carrying out social obligations. These social roles have their roots in the individual problems that society must address in order to create healthy persons. Personal challenges like mental health concerns, gender roles, health hazards, and assuring youth participation in community organizing. More learning opportunities that will let each of us get active in social concerns and strengthen communities excite me. These will empower us to become a trustworthy and reliable member of society and to support the development of the country.
