"The Creator," the much-anticipated 2023 film, that carries various sci-fi elements visually.Directed by Gareth Edwards,he has found a new way to breathe new life into the dystopian future genre. The plot, storyline, special effects and unexpected twists kept me on the edge of my seat.Definitely impress at the fact that they used the Sony FX3 for visual production. The main characters in this movie is Joshua(John David Washington),Alphie(Madeleine Yuna Volves),Maya(Gemma Chan),Harun(Ken Watanabe),Colonel Howell(Allison Janney).John David Washington delivers an outstanding performance as ex-special forces agent Joshua. In my opinion, everyone played a very good role but Alphie(Madeleine Yuna Voyles) won the hearts of the audience. For example, Alphie imitated Joshua's words which made the audience laugh out loud.Madeleine Yuna Voyles delivers a strong performance as the child, holding her own against a powerhouse co-star such as John David Washington. The storyline and segmental arrangement from beginning to end was well-composed. Breaking the movie into 4 chapters to assist the audience visually really helped in maintaining composure in storytelling. As a future war between the human race and artificial intelligence rages on, ex-special forces agent Joshua is recruited to hunt down and kill the Creator, the elusive architect of advanced AI. The Creator has developed a mysterious weapon that has the power to end the war and all of mankind. As Joshua and his team discover the world-ending weapon is actually an AI in the form of a young child. One of the things I liked most about the film is that it doesn't shy away from the dark side of AI. The Creator is a reminder that AI has the potential to be just as dangerous as it is powerful. However,i do think the dialogue and script could have used a lot more context and emotions throughout various conversations in order to enrich the overall meaning of the story in the movie but the action and scenes do make up for the storytelling entirely on it itself. Overall, the movie (in my opinion) is a 4.8/5 film that's definitely worth seeing in the theatres. It's a gripping, visually stunning, and intellectually stimulating experience that will leave you contemplating its themes long after the credits roll.Warning, One Kleenex may be required!
