Archaeology
Archaeology is a science that deals with the past human life and activities by studying the bones ,
tools etc of ancient people . It began about 500 years ago .The archaeologists excavate different historical
sites and take out the artifacts . These artifacts can be any item made by people rather than by nature. From
the artifacts the archaeologists can learn about the ways of life of people who had lived long ago . Some
important archaeological discoveries are : two ancient Roman cities named ‘ Herculaneum ‘ and ‘ Pompeii’
discovered in 1719 ,’ Rosetta’ stone in Egypt in 1799 etc .Often the archaeologists find past things that tell
them about climate, seasons,tools,hunting patterns,eating habits even how much advanced the past people
were --each and everything the archaeologists can learn from their discoveries .
