Hypoxya:
Histotoxic hypoxia: Cause by drugs
Anemic hypoxia: Caused by smoking cigarettes
Hypoxic Hypoxia: Reduced partial oxygen pressure in the lung

Symptoms:
-Bends (joints) - Bubbles in the joints cause rheumatic-like pains called the bends.
(descompression sickness)
-Skin (creeps) - Nitrogen bubbles released under the skin causes the creeps when the
sufferer feels that a small company colony of ants are crawling over or just under the skin
-Chokes (respiratory system) - Nitrogen bubbles may get caught in the capillaries of the
lungs blocking the pulmonary blood flow. This leads to serious shortness of breath.
-Staggers (brain) - The bubbles effect the blood supply to the brain and the nervous
system. This effect is known as the staggers.
