I hope this letter finds you in good health. I am writing to bring to your attention
a pressing issue that is affecting the Falaknuma Railway Station route and the
nearby residential areas, particularly GM Chowni. It pertains to the overflow of
drainage water from the railway’s ground area , which is not only blocking
access to the station but also diverting drainage water into the nearby residential
area, posing a serious health hazard, especially to young children who are at risk
of diseases like dengue, and elderly people suffering from lung diseases due to
polluted air which smells very badly.
The situation in nearby railway station route has deteriorated significantly in
recent weeks, leading to an almost impassable path to the Falaknuma Railway
Station. This overflow of drainage water is not only inconvenient for commuters
but also poses a significant safety risk, especially during the monsoon season
when the water level rises substantially, flood like situation occurs.This presents
a grave public health risk that needs immediate attention.
Though there are pipelines brought to the place where this issue is rising, people
nearby had a hope that , this action will bring a big relief but no work has
started since a month. I kindly request the railway authorities to take urgent
action to address this issue:
1. Clear the blockage at station route to ensure smooth access to Falaknuma
Railway Station for hundreds of people who has this only access.
2. Implement measures to prevent the diversion of drainage water into the
residential area, ensuring the safety and health of the residents, especially
children.
3. Regular maintenance and monitoring of the drainage system to prevent such
issues in the near future.
I understand that the railway station and its surroundings are of utmost
importance for the local community, and it is essential to address this issue
promptly to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents and the smooth
operation of the railway station.
I request your immediate attention to this matter and hope for a swift resolution.
