It is required to design the major problem, prepare production related detailed and assembly drawing with
necessary information of bill of materials, tolerance grades, surface finish and manufacturing operations.
Batch 41
It is required to design a cotter joint to connect two steel rods of equal diameter. Each rod is subjected to an
axial tensile force of 50 KN. Design and draw the joint.
Batch 42
It is required to design a screw jack with a load carrying capacity of 80 KN and maximum lifting height of 0.8
m. the screw jack is manually operated. Design and prepare the detail and assembly sketch.
Batch 43
A bush pin type flexible coupling is used to connect two shafts and transmit 10 kW power at 720 rpm. Prepare
detail design.
Batch 44
It is required to design a knuckle joint to connect two circular rods subjected to an axial tensile force
of 50 KN. The rods are coaxial and a small amount of angular movement between their axes is
permissible. Design the joint and specify the dimensions of its components. Select suitable material
for the parts.
Batch 45
Prepare the detailed design of protective flange coupling to connect two shafts which transmit the 12 kW
power at 500 rpm.
