This article reviews the body of research on the use and role of
instant messaging (IM) in Business World, and how IM is a key part
of the Business’s Communication. We have to understand that with
the evolution of human beings must be coupled with the evolution
of the means they use to accomplish their actions. We now have

INTRODUCTION

We are rapidly expanding our connection to the digital world and in doing so we have turned to its
use in the corporate world. Without a doubt Instant Messaging has revolutionized modern
communication and doing so there is hope that it will speed up the transfer of data in businesses.

I will be focused on how the use of Instant Messaging Platforms plays in a part in the building of a
business or either the crumbling of it. I understand that Instant Messaging has changed how we
look at Data Transfer in the business and with that said how has it helped. I will look at the pros and
cons off having a business that has been integrated with Instant Messaging. I hope by the end of
this Investigation I am able to discern whether Instant Messaging is beneficial to a business’s
stability
3. How will I go about conducting the investigation?
Phase 1
Iwill write a report that is intended to bring light to what the effects of IM truly are in the workplace
.we are put in the scenario that we are going through an advancement in technology and as the
people who allow those advancements to occur we have to rise above it all and follow suit.
Phase 2
I will compile a questionnaire that will be answered by people of all ages but similar background.
These will all be workers in the business sector and are currently in a business that makes use of
instant messaging. In hopes that the census will be varied I will also take from workers that are in
businesses that do not permit Instant Messaging in the business structure. This will be
accomplished through the use of sharing the link on Instant Messaging Platforms such WhatsApp,
Instagram. Once this is done the collected Data will be compiled using data collection programs
such as Microsoft Excel for the compilation of Responses from the questionnaires and the use
Microsoft Access to compile Queries in hopes of further detailing my complied Data. I will also use
charts and bar graphs to help display the statistics more accurately

I will create a website that website that will showcase all my data and research to the public to educate
them on the effects of IM in the workplace whether it be good or bad.

The target audience for my Report are employers of a company whom if are not already implementing the
use of IM in the workplace may see what good and bad this will bring about.

of their geographical locations. Virtual teams can communicate as if they were in the same physical space,
fostering a sense of unity and teamwork. This has facilitated the rise of remote work and allowed businesses
to tap into diverse talent pools globally.
Customer Engagement: Businesses can use instant messaging to directly engage with customers, addressing
their queries and concerns promptly. This has led to improved customer satisfaction and loyalty. Moreover,
businesses can use chatbots on messaging platforms to provide instant responses and streamline customer
service.
Informal Communication: Instant messaging platforms provide a space for casual and informal
conversations among colleagues. This helps build relationships, boost morale, and create a more relaxed

I noticed that most individuals believed that instant messaging was indeed a beneficial software to the evolution of
the business world. We need to understand that even though a software makes things easier it will also bring about
issues if not used properly
FINDINGS
Majority of the businesses make use of Instant Messaging in their Company Structure. This can be seen as the
Advancements taking effect in the formation of the future.
Most people believed that having Instant Messaging the workplace aided in the efficiency of the workers. This lead
to a divide as some people saw the use of the Instant Messaging as beneficial and a small percentage seeing it as a
hindrance.
Businesses that use Instant Messaging have found a way to send their workers work even without them being
present. In the survey discovered that there was no majority nor a minority all the different people had their own
views on whether this encouraged privacy.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the impact of instant messaging on the business world has been nothing short of transformative. This
dynamic communication tool has revolutionized the way businesses operate, enabling swift and efficient exchange of
information among colleagues, clients, and partners. The real-time nature of instant messaging has accelerated
decision-making processes, enhanced collaboration across geographies, and fostered a more connected work

Moreover, instant messaging has paved the way for remote work and virtual teams, allowing employees to
