CIS7008_Workshop Week #2 Instructions to the Tutors: First, engage the students and make them understand the workshop rules and activities. Workshop Rules: Attendance: Students are required to attend their designated workshop session as per their timetable. Changing workshop sessions is not permitted. Weekly Progress Reporting: All students must report their weekly progress to the Tutors. This reporting is essential to meet assessment objectives and deadlines. Case Study Selection: Students are expected to identify their own case studies on project management. They can use various resources, including internet search engines like MR. GOOGLE, to find suitable case studies. Case Study Variety: Case studies can encompass a wide range of projects, such as software development, construction, car manufacturing, agriculture, or service industries like postal services. Project Completion: It is recommended that students choose fully completed and finalized projects for their case studies to ensure comprehensive reporting. Reference and Citation: Students must provide proper references and sources for the selected case studies. Workshop Activities: Analyze their chosen case studies. Focus on Business Case Development (BCD): A business case in project management is a comprehensive document that outlines the justification for initiating a project. It provides a detailed analysis of why a particular project is necessary, what its objectives are, how it aligns with the organization's strategic goals, and what benefits it is expected to deliver. Reading and supporting materials: Notes on BCD are provided in Moodle Week#2. Studio recorded and available via Teams.
