An industrial building consisting of steel portal frames spaced at 6m is
to be designed. The following figures show the bending moments of
the steel frame under dead load, imposed load and wind load.
Use the appropriate load factors to determine the ultimate limit
state design moments for (all units in kNm):
(1) columns; (2) roof rafters; (3) connections of rafter to column; (4)
foundation design.
To simplify the calculation, neglect EHF in the combinations of actions.
