Interchangeability
- Lamp caps are tested by the
use of gauges in accordance to
IEC 60061-3
- Lamp cap or lamp bulb shall
comply with the bending
moment stated in the table of
the PNS IEC 62560
-Live parts shall not be
accessible in normal use. Test
finger shall not touch the live
parts.
-Determining the insulation
resistance with the compliance
limit in PNS IEC 62560.
-Testing the electric strength of
insulation material by applying
1460V according to PNS IEC
62560. Insulation material shall
not breakdown.
-Checking the tightness
between the cap and enclosure
of lamp through applying
certain torque(depends on cap
type) according to standard PNS
IEC 62560.
-Determining the temperature
of the cap in stabilized
temperature exceeding 30
minutes. Temperature shall not
exceed the limit given in PNS
IEC 60360
-Testing the heat resistance of
insulation material by putting
ball pressure equipment in a
certain specimen (enclosure of
lamp) with a certain
temperature in the oven. The

Resistance to Flame and Ignition -Testing the flame and ignition
of insulation material by
exposing the material in flame
through glow wire equipment.
Fault Condition
-Shorting the components of
lamp one at a time.
-Applying 150% power (for
rated and range voltage) or
most critical voltage (it must be
given by the manufacturer) in
the lamp. Compliance is no
flame, no flammable gas, no
smoke, according to PNS IEC
62560.
Creepage and Clearances
-Measuring the distance
(creepage) and displacement
(clearance) between cap and
ilet. The measured value shall
not exceed in the given limit in

and package given by the
manufacturer.
- The lamp is stabilized for
about 30 mins then aged if
declared by manufacturer
before getting the initial
measurements.
-The test duration is 25% of
rated life time up to a maximum
of 6000 hours.

chromaticity co-coordinates,
colour rendering index, lumen
maintenance code, and results
of accelerated operational life
test shall provide same values
or better as manufacturer
declared.
-The initial power consumed by
each individual LED lamp in the
measured sample shall not
exceed the rated power by
more than 10%.
-The average of initial power
consumed by the LED lamps in
the measured sample shall not
exceed the rated power by
more than 7.5%.
-rated luminous flux should be
preferably be one of the
following values given by IEC
