Essay Using strategies learned from the Art of War, list down 3 strategies that you would like to apply in your everyday life The practical life lessons of Sun Tzu are indeed very intellectual and useful; however, I find lessons one, three, and four applicable to myself. First and foremost, I do believe in productivity and proper time management which is why choosing battles is very important in my daily life. Time is indeed gold and it comes by really quick, in which why it should not be wasted, but instead it should be used in the best possible way. Knowing which battles to choose can help me produce the best results without any unnecessary energy exerted, but instead the right energy is directed towards overcoming the battles that are needed to gain success. Everyday, we do encounter distractions or things that aren’t that necessary to us, in which we put effort to but it gives us nothing, which is why choosing the right battles are important in order to avoid these and waste the opportunity of time. Next is to know myself and to know the enemy, I do believe that one of the biggest enemies that I have in my life is myself, which is why through knowing myself, I will have a sense of reflection and discover what I am capable of, in which can then lead me to adapt to any problems that might happen. It is also important in my life that when assessing a problem, I have to be aware with every aspect, in which it includes the environment. When I begin to understand myself, the environment, and the enemy, I will then be able to probably predict future problems and overcome them by formulating plans and alternatives. Lastly, I have always loved the idea of originality, or in a sense, being unique, I do think that people, including myself, have the ability to be their own, make their own legacy, in their own unique ways. I do integrate this in my life as a way of being creative and always going out of the box, so that not only do I overcome competitors, but the hurdles of life itself. Bonus to the lesson four is the happiness of being constantly wanting to do new things in life, and being creative, which makes life less dull and more exciting
