King Acrisius- King Acrisius was the King of Argos and Danae’s father. Due to the prophecy that Danae's son would be his demise, he imprisoned Danae in a room. Danae is the princess of Argos, the only child of king Acrisius. After Zeus- the ruler of the gods, infiltrated the prison where she was, she got pregnant and gave birth to Perseus. Perseus was the son of Zeus and Danae, making him a half-god by birth. He is most known for beheading Medusa, the sole mortal Gorgon, and using her severed head as a powerful weapon in his later adventure. Dictys was a fisherman and the brother of King Polydectes of Seriphos. He discovered Danae and Perseus inside a chest that had been washed up on the shore. Dictys took both mother and child into his home, and treated them like members of his family. Polydectes is the king of the island of Seriphos. He likes Danae very much but she doesn't like him so the king forces Danae to marry him. Out of jealousy, he sent Perseus on a very dangerous mission to get rid of him. Athena, the goddess of wisdom, war, and the crafts. She gave Perseus her mirror shield so he could look through it and away from Medusa, away from her menacing glare. Greek messenger god Hermes was the son of Zeus. Perseus received the sword from him in order to slay the gorgon. The three sisters known as the gray women had gray hair from birth. They also shared one tooth and one eye, which they took turns using. Their names were Deino the dreadful, Eno the shocking and Pemphredo the horrifying. The Stygian Nymphs were forging creatures that were known for creating powerful talismans and artefacts. Perseus was given three gifts by the Stygian Nymphs: the cap of Darkness which would make him invisible, a pair of winged sandals which would enable him to fly, and a pouch called a kibesis in which to carry the head of the Gorgon. The Stygian nymphs were the guardians of this equipment, but only the mysterious Graiae sisters knew where the nymphs lived. Stheno is the oldest among the Gorgon sisters. She was regarded as the most fierce and independent, having killed more men than both of her sisters combined. Euryale is the second-oldest gorgon sister. She was known for her shrill cries, particularly about Medusa's death, in which her wretched screams could turn stones into fine sand. Medusa was the mortal Gorgon. She has snakes as her hair, and whoever look directly into her eyes will turn into stones. Medusa was killed by Perseus with the help of Hermes, Athena, nymphs and the grey old women. Atlas, a Titan who took part in their war against Zeus and was punished by holding the Earth, was encountered by Perseus after he beheaded Medusa. Atlas refused to provide shelter, leading Perseus to show him Medusa's head. Atlas was turned to stone upon seeing Medusa's eyes. Andromeda is the princess of Aethiopia. Andromeda became Perseus' wife after he saved her from the serpent. Andromena is the daughter of Cepheus, the king of Aethiopia, and his wife, Cassiopeia.
