SIMLA DELEGATION
 Simla Delegation or Deputation was a deputation of Indian Muslims
which took place in 1906 during the British Raj in India.
 The deputation aimed to convince Lord Minto, the Viceroy of India,
and other British officials to grant Muslims greater representation in
politics.
 It was led by Sir Aga Khan III and Nawab Mohsin ul Malik.
 It was a gathering of 35 prominent Muslim leaders with Viceroy Lord
Minto and his secretary, Lord John Morley.
 They met Minto in Simla now called Shimla that’s why it is called
Simla Deputation.

ALL - INDIA MUSLIM LEAGUE (AIML)
The All-India Muslim League (AIML) was a political party established
in Dhaka in 1906 when some well-known Muslim politicians met the
Viceroy of British India, Lord Minto.
The party was a response to the need for Muslims to have a political
platform.
At the 1906 yearly gathering of the All India Muslim Education
Conference hosted at Israt Manzil Palace, Nawab of Dhaka, Khwaja
Salimullah, proposed the formation of this political party for Muslims.
