Create Scrum Board • • • • Go to https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira) Create an account using your FDM email From the top left dial switch icon, Select JIRA Software Click “Projects” and select “Create project” Create Scrum Board • • • • • • • Select “Scrum” Click “Use Template” Click “Select a team-managed project” Give a Name for the Project Access: Private Key: Abbreviation for your Project Click “Next”, Click “Go to Project” Scrum Board Is Created • Once the Scrum board is created, the screen will look similar to this • Add all team members and trainer(s) to the scrum board • Click on “Backlog” to add User Stories Create User Stories Green – User Story Blue – Task Red – Bug Fix • Make sure you select the User Story “Green” issue type when adding User Stories Add User Stories – Short Descriptions As The Title • Build Product Backlog by adding short descriptions to your user stories • Then prioritise the stories so that they are ordered from high priority to low – by just dragging them into the desired position Add User Story and Acceptance Criteria to Each User Story Issue • Click into a user story and in the Description section, write the full user story with acceptance criteria • User Story: As a <persona>, I want <feature> so that <reason> • Acceptance Criteria: • Scenario based Given <a scenerio>, when <a condition/s occurs>, then <an expected outcome> • Rules based (i.e. Search field is located on top right bar) How To Add Story Point / Assign Member to Each User Story Issue • Scroll down to add Story Point Estimate or you can just include it in a bracket following the user story short description • There is also an “Assignee” field that you can use once the Sprint starts Create/View Epics • Turn on the toggle for “Epic panel” • Click “+ Create” from the Epic window to create Epics • You can create Epics for your High Level Features and then link your User Stories to them Sprint Planning • • • • Click “Create Sprint” Pull items from Backlog into Sprint Add tasks Once Sprint Planning is completed, can select “Start Sprint” The Scrum Board after a Sprint Starts • Now the Scrum board contains all the Before Sprint issues
