Romulus and Remus were twin brothers
Their mother was Rhea Silvia, daughter to Numitor, King of Alba Longa
Numitor’s brother Amulius seizes the throne from Numitor
Rhea gets pregnant from Mars, God of war
Amulius has them abandoned in the river
The river god Tiber saves them
A mother wolf also helps save them by giving them milk
They are raised by a shepherd and his wife
They become natural leaders in their community
They find out who they are, kill Amulius and restore Numitor to the throne
They can’t wait to becomes kings of Alba Longa and decide to establish own city
They create a city, they argue and Romulus kills Remus
Whether you do a video (must have a written script if you choose this option) or a cartoon
strip (with an informative caption for each scene) you must include some understanding of
what this story tells us about romans and how they saw themselves
