Incorporated in the year 1985, SSMI is today one of India's reputed manufacturer of a range of
Ferrous and Non Ferrous products catering to various industries namely Auto, Electrical, Engineering,
FMCG etc.The SSMI group is headquartered in Chennai, India and has a total of 3 manufacturing
plants located in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry spread across an area of 25000 sq.m.From its humble
beginnings in the year 1985 in southern part of India, SSMI has been continuously engaged in
improving its processes and Value addition at every step on the products it dealt with. This has led to
the formation of 3 major business verticals as below. All our manufacturing divisions are ISO 9001 –
2008 certified, with plans to go for TS16949 in immediate future. The manufacturing divisions are
logistically well connected by Road, Sea & Air .
At SSMI, we believe in perfect synchronisation between Men & Machinery, which is why along with
modernisation, we have a team of around 450 employees contributing to a turnover of US$ 40 Mn.
We have installed a comprehensive and effective Fume extraction system as per the PCB norms at
all our manufacturing facilities to safeguard our environment.
