Aim: To dissect, observe, draw and label a flower. Method: 1. Use the diagram to identify parts of your flower. Use the hand lens/magnifying glass/microscope to examine parts of the flower in more detail. 2. Draw and label your flower in your exercise book. 3. Use the tweezers to hold the flower upside down, carefully cut down the stem so that you cut the flower exactly in half. 4. Turn the flower and carefully view the cross-section of a flower you have created… again use magnifying tools. 5. Draw a labeled diagram of what you see. 6.
