Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Region II – Cagayan Valley Schools Division of Cagayan Baggao East District AWALLAN INTEGRATED SCHOOL Reflecting on the School Learning Action Cell ( SLAC) within the COT-RPMS Framework for Proficient Teachers Participating in the School Learning Action Cell (LAC) as a proficient teacher within the Classroom Observation Tool - Results-Based Performance Management System (COT-RPMS) has been a valuable and enriching experience. This reflection aims to capture the significance of the SLAC in my professional development as an educator. The SLAC has emphasized the importance of collaborative learning. Engaging in meaningful discussions and exchanges of ideas with my colleagues has expanded my horizons and provided me with diverse perspectives on teaching practices. It has been enlightening to discover that we share common challenges and triumphs in our classrooms. While the SLAC has been a highly rewarding experience, it has also presented some challenges. Coordinating meetings and aligning schedules can be difficult, and at times, it has been a challenge to strike a balance between the demands of the said classroom observation and school activities. However, these challenges have been manageable and have encouraged effective time management and communication skills. In conclusion, the School Learning Action Cell (LAC) within the COT-RPMS framework has played a pivotal role in my professional development as a proficient teacher. It has fostered collaborative learning, data-informed decision making, and a culture of reflection and continuous improvement. The support and resource sharing within the LAC community have been invaluable. While challenges have arisen, they have been opportunities for growth and development. I look forward to continuing my journey in the Department of Education knowing that it will contribute significantly to my growth as an educator and ultimately benefit the pupils I am privileged to teach.
