FARADISM UNDER PRESSSURE (1)

advertisement
INTRODUCTION:
Electrical stimulation of the muscle that
generally acts as the muscle pump is
combined with compression and
elevation of the limb to increase venous
and lymphatic return and hence relieve
edema .
 This technique is known as Faradism
Under Pressure.

It is a low frequency electrical
stimulation .
 It acts as a muscle pump .
 Its treatment time is 15-20 minutes.
 5-7 sessions should be taken depending
upon the patient condition and
improvement.

Duration - 300 ms
 Frequency - 30Hz
 Interval - 2 to 5 sec
 Each surface – 10 min

GOALS:
To improve venous and lymphatic
drainage.
 To reduce edema.
 To reduce swelling.
