Investment Analyst Intern Job Description
Position Title: Investment Analyst Intern
Department: Private Debt
Manager’s Title: Managing Partner
Supervisor’s Title: Investment Analyst
Role Responsibilities
As an Investment Analyst Intern, you’ll be required to deliver high caliber input and analysis at all stages of the
transaction/deal advisory process to assist the team to carry out its transaction’s strategy. The role provides a
clear career path.
❖ Deal screening: Work closely with senior team members in origination, including idea generation and
industry screening.
❖ Due diligence: Due diligence including preliminary fundamental investment analysis and valuation.
Assume responsibility/provide key inputs for various aspects of the investment process including
detailed quantitative and qualitative investment analysis, presentation and documentation, approval,
and closing.
❖ Relationship Management: Communicate extensively with team members as well as interact with legal
advisors, issuers, analysts, and other professional advisors.
❖ Monitoring: Portfolio monitoring and ongoing analysis.
Minimum Education
Completed or in final year of undergraduate degree with a strong business and/or mathematical component.

Technical Competencies (listed in order of priority with the last two NOT mandatory but expected to show
progress during the internship period).
❖ Knowledge of investments and financial markets - Understands various asset classes in basic terms
and how private markets works. Able to distinguish between private and public instruments and
private and public markets.
❖ Research, investment analysis and evaluation skills – Demonstrates resilience and performs a detailed
analysis to bring out the key themes of a task.
❖ Organisational and analytical skills - Highly organized and plans themselves; accordingly, excellent
time management and prioritizing.
❖ Report writing and presentation skills - Notable note writing and presentation skills through simple
though not basic to clearly explain their views in a way an average person can understand and follow
their thought process.
❖ Financial modelling skills - Demonstrates clarity of thought regarding key business drivers of MFIs and
how to go about coming up with forecasted financials of MFIs.
