Intro
I chose heartbeat as i thought it was a good acapella which would be fitting for a fast EDM track.
The backing vocals also added a lot of puchyness and layering to the track.
FInding the key was easier in this track as i really struggled with finding the key for the great destroyer.
My opinion on the piece
Honestly i'm not happy with the piece i tried all three acapellas and couldn't find one i was happy with.
The great destroyer was my favourite acapella as i enjoyed the singing but i found it very difficult to work
with and create a chord progressions.
The heartbeat one wasn't a great song but i found it easier to work with. Finding sounds i liked in logic that fit
the vibe of the piece was very hard especially for a melody line.
The drum machines weren't great that's why i chose to use a sample loop drum break.
Genre
I went for a sort of happy hardcore which is a mix of pumping drum especially the kick and breakbeat
samples of live drums.
Songs from this genre don't usually have verses and chorus instead it a change in the sort of drums being
used, such as a switch from a live breakbeat to just a basic 4/4 drum pattern using a electronic drum kit.
It usually features very strange sounds that aren't used in other type of EDM the strange sort of sounds are a
major part of happy hardcore as it sort of a joke genre.
