This is a quick capabilities chart for different Dante interfaces. Be aware that manufacturers do not always use every feature – they can turn features off in their “capabilities file”. For instance, there are products using a Brooklyn II interface that do not have a redundant network port, or that might only use 32 of the 64 possible channels. This chart also lists which devices can be a clock leader. You’ll notice DVS cannot be a clock leader. It also makes note that the Ultimo Chipset can only be a clock leader for about 20 devices, while something like a Brooklyn II can support about 250 devices. (Remember, Ultimo will be 100Mbps, while the other ports will all be 1Gbps.)
