Aidah Robbi Rodhiyah 20513241033 A Summary from Journal Article : The global enviromental injustice of fast fashion. Bick et al.(2018) examine of how fast fashion has impacted the global environmental injustice. Fast fashion, which consists of affordable and easily available of-the-moment clothes, increased demand for huge quantities for a lot of cheap clothing. As a result, environmental and social deterioration has occurred at every stage of the supply chain. The textile and garment sector, for example, transfers environmental and labor responsibilities associated with mass manufacturing and disposal from high-income nations to resource-poor communities (e.g. low-income, low-wage employees, women) in LMICs. Starting from its production until the garment is sold, the resulting impact continues. Although it is still difficult to ensure environmental justice at every level of the global supply chain, innovations in textile creation, business sustainability, trade policy, and consumer habits will be critical to global environmental justice. Each of them has an important role in minimizing environmental injustice. Reference : Bick, R., Halsey, E. & Ekenga, C.C. The global environmental injustice of fast fashion.
