Acne for Isotretinoin

Isotretinoin:
Patient refered from DR: Mariam
for education.
Common side effects:such as:
Dry skin-Eczema-nasal dryness –Dry eyes (to use artificial tears) headache- muscle
pain- night blindness.
Do not take Roaccutane:
If pregnant or breast feeding.
Be aware:
Not to use contact lenses.
To apply sunscreen.
To apply skin moisturizers continuously.
Do not squeeze the spots to not spread bacteria or pigmentation.
Do not donate blood during the course Roaccutane .
Roaccutane may increase triglycerides snd cholesterol.
You should tell your doctor if you have any Psychological problems.
Stop roaccutane immediately and inform your doctor if:
Pregnancy occurred during treatment.
If there is any psychological changes.
Arash with sever itching or difficulty in breathing.
Headache with nausea ,vomiting,and blurred vision.
Sever stomach pain with nausea and vomiting,diarrhea or blood in the stool.
Defect in the eyes or night blindess.
Ear or hearing problems.
Acne vulgaris:
Do not squeeze the pimples to not spread the bacteriaand to prevent pigmentation.
To eat ahealthy food and reduce junkle food,to reduce fried foods.
To wash the face and the body in non irritant soap such as Dove White SOAP.
Use skin moisturizers continuously.
To apply sun screen.
Stay away from the substances that cause skin irritation.
Encourage to drink water .
Education given to the patient and her father
and verbalized understanding.
